Mobile DevelopmentOnline Ticket Sales and Distribution CompanyTechnology Service: FoneMonkey Quick Start Engagement Gorilla logic was contacted by the QA Director for this established online ticket sales and distribution company to help integrate FoneMonkey with their iPhone and iPad applications. Gorilla logic worked diligently to assist with the following topics that were set by the client’s QA team: test organization, consistent results across machines, modular reusable methods, and issues running in headless mode. Gorilla Logic was successful in resolving each of these issues along with additional requests made by the client. By having a personal forum, the client was able to log issues and requests to a dedicated FoneMonkey expert who responded within 48 hours. ROI: “FoneMonkey appeared to be the most reputable and accessible (it's free!). When we ran into limitations of the tool, we were glad there was the option for support. Given the pricing and the coordination involved for both parties, this is not an inexpensive venture. However, ten hours of support later, we have both an iPhone and iPad application continuously building and running FM Automation tests. This result will easily pay for itself in the number of UI bugs FoneMonkey will catch without my 'monkeying' about!”- Michelle Lai, QA Director On-Call Personal Security ProviderTechnology Service: iOS Mobile Development for Network Communications and Mapping. Gorilla Logic engaged with this client three years ago and continues to be a vendor of choice today. The solution built for this personal security provider was an application with sophisticated communications to a Public Safety Access Point or PSAP. The end user would activate the system by pushing a button on their iPhone prior to entering a risky place or situation. Once the system is activated, the phone begins to monitor, track and record where the person is walking. If at any point during the journey, the end user hits the panic button, the mobile application sends a signal to an alarm company along with a url link mapping where that person is located. This same button simultaneously activates audio capture and record. The url includes the person’s cell phone number so that the PSAP receiver can call the person immediately. This product was sold to major universities and companies with a similar campus-like environment. Product was rapidly prototyped into a demo, so that this company could begin selling the product before it was commercialized. |
